The heartbeat of MuTeOr has always been our incredible youth and junior division. Today, our young musicians are stepping into a profound legacy, benefiting directly from the rich foundations and path paved by the musical giants who came before them.

But this program is about more than just honoring history—it's about the vibrant present and an even brighter future. Every single day, these students are:

  • Experiencing the pure, transformative joy of music in their lives.

  • Honing their craft under the guidance of passionate mentors.

  • Building the confidence to express their unique musicianship, through performance opportunities.

The Big Picture: These young creatives aren’t just learning notes on a page; they are the future of Black artists across America.

By supporting MuTeOr’s youth/junior division, with your membership, you are investing in the next generation of culture-shapers, innovators, and musical storytellers. We can't wait to see where their music takes them—and us—next!

Brooklyn Music Teachers Guild

BMTG

The Brooklyn Music Teachers Guild (BMTG) has long served as a cornerstone of music education in Brooklyn by bringing together dedicated music educators who share a common mission: to provide high-quality music instruction, encourage artistic excellence, and enrich the lives of students and families through music. While the Guild has evolved over the years, its core purpose remains centered on supporting teachers, creating performance opportunities for students, and strengthening the cultural fabric of the community.

Overview of the Brooklyn Music Teachers Guild

The Brooklyn Music Teachers Guild is a professional association of independent music teachers committed to:

  • Promoting excellence in music education.

  • Providing professional development and collaboration among teachers.

  • Creating recital and performance opportunities for students.

  • Encouraging students to pursue musical growth through education, performance, and achievement.
